Walking Bear Photography Policies
All photos are cataloged with the location or area, a sequence number (which is assigned randomly), the year the photo was taken and a two-letter identifier. This two-letter identifier will begin with a C, B or D for Color Print/Slide film, Black & White Film or Digital. The second letter will be L or P for Landscape or Portrait.
Prints are made on either Fuji Crystal Archive or Kodak Professional print paper. All prints are sold mounted and matted using acid-free archival quality materials. Mount board will be archival quality 3/16” foam core. All prints will be mounted using mylar mounting tabs to facilitate replacement of mount board if needed. With the exception of 30” x 45” prints all prints will have two overlay mats and will be bottom weighted. Mat board colors are white only.
Limited Edition Prints
Limited Edition prints will be mounted and matted as the standard prints. Each print will be labeled along the print border with the title, the Limited Edition number and signed by the photographer. This border will be under the overlay mat.
Limited Edition prints are limited to 250 prints regardless of size. Each will come with a Certificate certifying the print as a Limited Edition with the sequence number, title, catalog number, type of print (Color or Black & White Film or Digital) and print dimensions. Each Certificate will be signed by the photographer, dated, scanned and kept on file digitally at the Walking Bear Photography, LLC (known hereon as WBP) office location. A gold seal embossed with Walking Bear Photography, LLC – Certified Limited Edition Seal will be placed in the lower right corner.
All prints will be shipped via USPS and will be insured for the value of the print with the exception of 30” x 45” prints. These will be shipped by alternate means as they are considered oversize.
Payment will be made using WBP’s PayPal account. Invoices will be e-mailed from PayPal and are payable by credit card without having to create a PayPal account. All print orders require a minimum of a 50% Non-Refundable deposit. The balance will be due upon receipt of the work unless otherwise negotiated.
WBP takes great care in the assembly of every print from the personal selection of the printers, materials, assembly of each print mount and shipping packaging. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee there will never be an issue with the print you have selected.
Prints must be displayed in an environment that is conducive to their long life. Do not expose them to direct sunlight or sustained Relative Humidity above 50%. A typical air-conditioned home or office environment with temperatures set at 75o or less is quite adequate to ensuring long life.
Returns due to defects will be on a case-by-case basis. Because we maintain a very high standard on our assembly process and material selection the only defect we will automatically replace will be delamination of the mount board windows if it occurs within 1 year of shipment to the customer.
